  Have tried this establishment twice now. The first time we had a dud batch of various dumplings - no flavour and the pan fried ones were burnt and chewy - was not planning to come back.

  The second time we went again with friends, and it was actually pretty good. As with any restaurants, there are some dishes better than others. Their noodles are a little lacklustre but the prawn and pork dumplings are great. Wonton noodle soup was also nice. Their fried rice is also pretty good.

  Have I had better dumplings in my life? Yes. But this is a pretty good joint if you wanted a dumpling fix in the heart of Cooks Hill. Not many dumpling houses in Newcastle. Ambience and decor are nice and the service is good. Price is also fair. Recommend the chili oil on the table with soy sauce.
